The results of the 2022 Local Government Cybersecurity National Survey are now available. This is an annual surcey of city and county IT executives on the budgeting, policy, management and operational issues impacting local government cyber programs.
Highlights include: • 61% of IT executives stated that elected leaders are “somewhat engaged or familiar” with their organization-wide cybersecurity efforts • 63% of respondents felt that their budget is NOT adequate to support their cybersecurity initiatives • 40% of IT executives stated that their organization’s premiums for cybersecurity insurance have risen dramatically over the past year
