New 311 app allows Columbus residents to file complaints and get return notices

The city of Columbus, Ohio has unveiled a new 311 app on which residents can file service requests and complaints about junk cars, blighted houses, potholes, snow removal, missed trash pickups, and other issues.

The new CBUS 311 system, which went live earlier in April, also allows users to sign up for emails or push notifications to track the progress of their complaints and requests.

"Our users will have real-time updates, which in the past was challenging," said Carmen Duckens, the city's 311 service manager.
