Free Resources from CompTIA Can Help You Build a Tech Career Plan
With employer demand for technology professionals strong, free resources to help start or advance in a career in tech are available from CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry and workforce.
Career planning roadmaps, information on salaries for a range of IT jobs, guidance on education, training and professional certifications and more is available at comptia.org/.
“The technology field offers many opportunities for a meaningful, rewarding career,” said John McGlinchey, CompTIA’s executive vice president for global certification. “If you have an interest in technology or already are a tech professional, CompTIA has the credentials, tools and training to support your aspirations and goals at every stage of your career.”
The U.S. unemployment rate for tech occupations was 2.4% in January, compared to 6.3% for the overall economy, according to the latest CompTIA Tech Jobs Report. U.S. employers advertised job openings for more than 232,000 tech occupations last month. These openings were spread across many industries besides technology, including financial services, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, government and education.
