I love this idea from Fabio Vieira who sits on the executive council of the Advancing Tech Talent and Diversity Community. Many folks are foreign to telework and may be negatively impacted by this drastic change. As an example, we’ve asked all managers to book a daily 30-minute “water cooler” chat via video so teams who are not accustomed to being remote can have a certain amount of social interaction. The intent for this call is to be non-business related and simply an opportunity to converse amongst peers. All in an effort to combat the negative effects ‘social distancing’ may have to most; as we’re all social beings.
